Safeguarding Overview

At Hobletts Manor Infants' and Nursery School we are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all our children. We ensure that all members of staff have accessed up to date training so that they are confident in monitoring and supporting our children and acting to prevent them from harm. Our governing body knows that it has a duty of care to all of our pupils and members of our school community and it closely scrutinises our procedures, such as risk assessments, and our range of policies linked to safeguarding such as our child protection policy and anti bullying policy.

We will provide parents and carers with regular updates around safeguarding via school events and newsletters. Our curriculum is designed to give children the appropriate knowledge, language, confidence and skills to keep themselves safe for example e-safety, body awareness (including the NSPCC pants rule), road safety, sun safety, healthy relationships and emotional awareness.

If you have any concerns about the welfare or safety of a child who attends this school please speak to a member of the safeguarding team;

Mrs Susan Dyer - Headteacher and Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL)

Mrs Gina Taylor - Assistant Headteacher and Deputy DSL

Miss Rebecca Surridge - Assistant Headteacher and Deputy DSL

If you would like to talk to someone outside of the school about your concerns you can contact Hertfordshire Safeguarding Children's Partnership on 0300123 4043 or for further information and advice contact the NSPCC via their website www.nspcc.org.uk
