Pupil Premium is funding that is given to schools to improve the educational outcomes for disadvantaged children. Evidence shows that statistically, children who are disadvantaged, require additional support in order to reach their full potential at school. This includes those whose families have faced financial hardship (eligible for free school meals at any point in the last six years) , children who have accessed a social worker or been 'looked after.'
