Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Hobletts Manor Infants'

and Nursery School

Welcome to the Hobletts Manor Infants’ and Nursery School website. On behalf of all the children, staff and Governors I would like to extend a warm welcome to you and your families. We are a two form infant and nursery school and we liaise closely with our linked junior school next door so that we can ensure a highly effective progressive learning journey from nursery through to Year 6.  Our governing body acts as a strategically challenging friend and closely monitors the quality of the provision in our school. They work with us to set and monitor our shared vision, values and school development plan.

Visitors to Hobletts always comment on the welcoming ethos, the excellent behaviour and attitudes of our children, the quality of the children's work that is on display, and on the lovely outdoor spaces that we are lucky enough to have. Hobletts is a very happy and supportive place and we all work as a team to make learning fun and successful. We aim for our children to achieve great things and be the best that they can be, regardless of their starting points. Our website will give you a snapshot of what we do, and how well our children learn. We have included a school tour, and an ‘all about our school’ section which we hope will give you and your children a feel for our wonderful provision (both indoors and outdoors) if you are unable to visit. We hope that you will enjoy spending time looking at recent photographs and examples of our children's work. Our website is regularly updated so please return for another visit soon!

As a friendly community centered school we aim to work closely with our families in order to provide the best that we can for our children, and we operate an 'open door' policy. Parents and carers have daily contact with our classroom staff and myself and the office team are easily contactable if you wish to discuss anything with us. Our parent council provides us with feedback and support to ensure that we are meeting the needs of our community and we also have the welcome support of FOHMS our active PTA. As well as raising much needed funds, they ensure that activities are aimed at providing fun and enriching experiences for our children and families.

Our curriculum is designed to meet the requirements of the National Curriculum in a way that motivates children and puts their learning into a real life context. The quality of learning is greatly enhanced by our wonderful outdoor environment and we use Forest School principles to heighten our children’s life skills and their ‘knowledge of’ and ‘care for’ the world around them. Our creative and topic based curriculum supports the development of the skills needed to be lifelong learners whilst also focusing on their knowledge and skills needed in individual subject areas. It is adaptable to meet the needs of individual children and allows all of our children to excel in different ways We have achieved a Level 5 Award from the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS), the Inclusion Quality Mark and a Music Mark accreditation in recognition of our commitment to providing our children with high quality musical experiences. In the recent past we have also achieved the Arts mark accreditation from the Arts Council of England and now continue to embed this work within our school.

Finally, our staff team are passionate about helping our children to become good citizens with the knowledge, skills and attitudes that they need to become successful and happy members of society. If you have any questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.
