EYFS

Welcome to our Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) page.  We have a nursery class called the Ladybirds and two reception classes.  The reception classes are called Honey Bees and Dragonflies.  Each class has a qualified teacher and early years practitioners.  Come and watch our slide show tours of each of our classrooms.

Our nursery children can attend for fifteen or thirty hours, if they are eligible.  Session choices are flexible with morning, afternoon and all day sessions available.  There is a lunch club available to nursery children too.  They can bring a packed lunch from home.  If you would like to know more please contact the school office.

Play is very important in the EYFS and all our children get to play and learn each day inside their classrooms and in the gardens.  They have mud kitchens, flower beds and vegetable patches as well as bikes to ride and games to play.  The adults play with the children to support them with their learning and to build positive relationships.

At Hobletts Manor Infants' and Nursery School we are very lucky to have a Forest School.  All the EYFS children get to visit the Forest School and learn about the outdoors.  We look for bugs, share stories about creatures and even dip for tadpoles in the pond.

Make sure you take a look at our school blog to see what the children have been learning about.  The EYFS teachers are Mrs Stewart, Mrs Barringer,  Mr Trinder and Miss Surridge.
