Forest School - Bird feeders
We have been leaning about Diwali. We learnt about the story of Rama and Sita, made Diwali sweets and diva lamps.
We raised £469.17 for children in need. Thank you to all the parents for your help and dontations. The children looked fantastic!
We went to forest schools for the first time. We learnt all of the different rules to keep us safe. We even played a game of 1, 2, 3 where are you?.
Honey Bees have been exploring autumn. We have been painting using autumn colours, conker rolling and we have even been on an autumn walk.
Honey Bees have been learning all about Buddha's birthday. We listened to the story of how Buddha was born. He was a very special baby because when he was born he walked forward 7 steps and lotus flowers grew. We made our own lotus flowers and gave them to Buddha for his birthday.
Today we practiced writing tricky words. We used wooden pencils to write the words I and to in coloured sand.
Honey Bees went on a shape hunt. We looked all around the school for squares, circles, rectangles and triangles.
We have been investigating bubbles. We looked at different shaped bubble wands and tried to figure out what shapes the bubbles will be. Some of us thought they would be square like the bubble wand and some of us thought they would be a circle. We found out that the bubbles were circles.
We have been looking at birthdays. We made a birthday party role play and pretended that it was our birthday. We also ordered numbers 1 to 10 on birthday cupcakes.
